Explore native medicinal plants

Hawaii National Park » Hawaii Volcanoes National Park will share Hawaiian medicinal remedies at a workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the Kilauea Visitors Center lanai.

The workshop — “Laau Lapaau (Healing Medicine)” — is part of the park’s ongoing “Ike Hana Noeau (Experience the Skillful Work)” workshops. The event is free.

Ka‘ohu Monfort will discuss traditional healing uses of Hawaii’s native plants, including noni, kukui and olena.
