A 63-year-old man who was riding TheBus Saturday in Kalihi was arrested after allegedly harassing a 14-year-old female passenger, trying to punch the driver and assaulting fellow passengers who tried to intervene, police said.

The man was arrested for investigation of interfering with the operator of a public transit vehicle, third-degree assault, and two counts of harassment following the 3:45 p.m. incident, police said.

A 25-year-old male passenger and a 25-year-old female passenger were allegedly assaulted and pushed by the suspect when they came to the aid of the 14-year-old girl who allegedly was being harassed by the suspect, police said.

The suspect then allegedly tried to punch the 40-year-old bus driver, police said.
