Kailua-Kona man charged after ramming ex-wife’s SUV
A Kailua-Kona man was charged with several crimes after allegedly ramming his ex-wife’s SUV with his pickup truck Saturday and allegedly stealing a backpack belonging to her 25-year-old male passenger.
Curtis L. Warner appeared in District Court on Tuesday. His bail was set at $129,500.
Police issued an all-points bulletin for his arrest after Warner allegedly entered his ex-wife’s SUV at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Kailua-Kona and took a backpack belonging to the Kailua-Kona man.
At 5 p.m. Saturday, police got a report that Warner allegedly rammed the woman’s SUV several times with his pickup truck on Hualalalai Road above Kuakini Highway in Kailua-Kona.
Police found Warner within an hour and arrested him.
He was charged Monday with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance, unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, second-degree theft, first-degree criminal property damage, second-degree criminal property damage, two counts of terroristic threatening, two counts of reckless endangering, unauthorized possession of confidential information, promoting a dangerous drug, promoting a detrimental drug and possessing drug paraphernalia.
