APEC host committee looking for someone to design displays

The Hawaii Host Committee for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation is looking for a contractor to design, construct and install visual displays that will be used during the conference in November.

The host committee said Thursday the displays are to showcase Hawaii as place of diverse economic activity.

The contractor should be able to produce free-standing and mobile displays that clearly communicate the objectives of APEC.

The displays are to incorporate APEC initiatives including clean energy and sky, ocean and earth sciences.

The contractor is also to deliver, install, and dismantle displays at indoor and outdoor sites.

The deadline for submissions is July 15.

APEC Leaders’ Week is to take place in Honolulu Nov. 7-13 and is expected to attract 20,000 attendees.
