No injuries as fire strikes Schofield Barracks apartment complex

Federal and city firefighters extinguished a blaze at an apartment complex today at Schofield Barracks.

The fire started about 2:40 p.m. in unit 202 at 139 Mohala Place, said Federal Fire Battalion Chief Victor Flint.

He said the occupants of the unit called firefighters and were able to get out without injuries.

Federal firefighters found the unit engulfed in flames and brought it under control at 2:59 p.m. The blaze was extinguished at 3:03 p.m.

Flint was investigating the cause of the fire and the damage to the four-unit apartment building.
