Kapolei man killed in Campbell Industrial Park crash

A 21-year-old Kapolei man died in a motorcycle crash in Campbell Industrial Park early this morning, police said.

The crash happened at 12:55 a.m. on Makakole Street when the victim driving a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle lost control and laid the motorcycle down, sliding into concrete barriers, police said. The man was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the victim was not wearing a helmet and speed may have been a factor in the crash.

It’s the 26th fatality on Oahu roads this year, compared to 30 at the same time last year.
