Two men are hospitalized  and one man is in police custody after a shooting this morning at a Mililani park.

The shooting escalated from a confrontation at the Shack Mililani that continued at Kipapa Park about 1:30 a.m., police said.

Police did not say what the argument was about.

Paramedics took a 38-year-old man to the hospital in very serious condition and a 41-year-old man in serious condition, according to an Emergency Medical Services spokeswoman.

Sources said the younger man was shot several times in the torso and the other man was shot at least once.

The alleged shooter, a 43-year-old Mililani man, turned himself in at the Wahiawa police substation about 4 a.m., police said.

He was booked on suspicion of two counts of second-degree attempted murder.

The suspect has five convictions for misdemeanors or violations in Hawaii and one felony conviction for assault in 1994, according to the state Criminal Justice Data Center. The assault was his last conviction.
