Kauai police seek wanted Hanamaulu man

Kauai County police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 22-year-old Hanamaulu man wanted on two counts of contempt of court, failure to appear and bail violation.

Bail for Andres “Bong” Cadiente Jr. is set for $4,750.

Police said they received a tip that Cadiente was staying at his parents’ Hanamaulu home. On July 23, officers arrived at the home. Cadiente opened the front door and ran when he saw police.

An officer chased him through the home. Cadiente dove through a second-story window and slid down a section of iron roofing, landed on the hood of a patrol car and got away.

He is described as 5 feet 4 and about 140 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair, a tan complexion and a tattoo on the right side of his neck.

Anyone with information on Cadiente’s whereabouts is asked to call Capt. Michael Contrades at 241-1635 or police dispatch at 241-1711.
