Man arrested following knife threat in Chinatown
Police arrested a 27-year-old man who allegedly threatened his uncle with a knife in the Chinatown area late Thursday.
Police said the two men were drinking and got into an argument. The nephew pulled out a large knife and threatened the older man, 32, police said.
The uncle ran to the Chinatown police substation and reported the incident, police said. The uncle went back to the scene and arriving patrol officers saw him being chased by a man with a knife, police said.
The suspect was arrested at North King and Kekaulike streets, and the knife was recovered, police said.
