Hualalai Road on Big Island closed for most of morning
Hualalai Road near route 180 in Holualoa was to remain closed for much of this morning after a traffic crash knocked down a utility pole, forcing the closure of Hualalai Road in both directions, police on Hawaii island said.
The closure originally was reported at 12:39 this morning. But Hawaii island police at 5:29 a.m. said they expected the road to be closed for another four to five hours.
