Victim in Kahala pool drowning is identified
A woman who died of an apparent drowning in Kahala Friday was identified as Jiwon Choi, 45.
The city Medical Examiner’s Department said Choi was the victim of an accidental drowning.
Police said a family member found the woman unresponsive in her swimming pool at about 5 p.m. Friday, and efforts to revive her failed.
She was taken by ambulance in critical condition to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
