Flags to fly at half-staff for Hawaii Marine killed in combat

U.S. and Hawaii flags will fly at half-staff Thursday at state offices and agencies in honor of Marine Lance Cpl. Christopher L. Camero, who was killed in combat last month, Gov. Neil Abercrombie’s office announced.

Camero, 19, a 2010 graduate of Honokaa High School, died on July 15 of wounds suffered July 6 in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms, Calif. 

Services are scheduled for tomorrow at the West Hawaii Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
