Man arrested for assaulting family member with bowling ball
Police arrested a 31-year-old Wahiawa man at his home this morning for allegedly assaulting a 22-year-old woman June 20 in Pearl City by, among other things, striking her in the back with a bowling ball.
The woman told police the two had an argument and, the man bit her lower lip, slapped her head, grabbed her neck and choked her.
He also allegedly hit her lower back with a bowling ball, police said.
Police arrested the man on suspicion of felony abuse of a family or household member and second-degree assault.
