Police arrested a 35-year-old man who was driving a car that matched the description of a car involved in an unrelated case early this morning.

Officers saw a car that looked like the car involved in the second case, checked the license plate and discovered it was stolen.

Police tried to make a traffic stop, but the driver tried to flee at about 2:58 a.m. today.

The officers briefly pursued the car and found the man, police said.

Police arrested the man on suspicion of auto theft, reckless driving, refusing to stop, resisting arrest, and drug charges and fleeing the scene of an accident.
