A fight over a girl Tuesday ended with a 24-year-old Aiea man’s arrest for allegedly attacking a man with a baseball bat and damaging the victim’s car.

The incident began just after midnight when a 23-year-old man was saying goodbye to his ex-girlfriend in Pearl City, police said.

The suspect, the girl’s current boyfriend, chased the 23-year-old man into his home with a baseball bat, damaging the front door, police said. The suspect then allegedly turned his baseball bat on the victim’s car.

The suspect was arrested at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Kakaako on one count of first-degree terroristic threatening and two counts of criminal property damage.
