One lane of westbound Nimitz Highway closed due to water line leak

The far-right lane of Nimitz Highway westbound is closed as Honolulu Board of Water Supply crews work to repair a six-inch line fronting 500 Nimitz Highway near the Iwilei Kmart.

No customers are affected by the work, which is expected to last through the evening, agency officials said. The water line leak was reported at noon.

Drivers are advised to use alternate routes where possible and to use caution while driving through the area.
