Kauai police are looking for a man who robbed an American Savings Bank branch in Lihue.

At about 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, police said, the suspect walked into the bank at 4318 Rice St.,  passed a note to the teller demanding money and pointed an unknown object at the teller from under his shirt. Police said he walked out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man is described to be in his mid-20s to mid-30s, between 5 feet 5 and 5 feet 7 inches tall, and about 150 to 170 pounds. Police said he was wearing a blue pullover sweatshirt, blue surf shorts and a white cap.
