CrimeStoppers and Honolulu police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who used the ATM card of a visitor from Japan who was found disoriented in his Waikiki hotel room.

Police said security personnel at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel checked on a hotel room Aug. 20 after hotel operators received a series of dropped calls from the room. Upon their arrival they met with a Japanese tourist who appeared disoriented.

His ATM card was used in various locations and security cameras showed an unknown male withdrawing from his account. Police opened a kidnapping investigation and released a security camera photo of the suspect.
