Police arrest tourist in Waikiki for alleged domestic violence
Honolulu police arrested a 40-year-old man who allegedly tried to strangle his girlfriend during an argument Sunday night in Waikiki.
Police said the man got into an argument with his 42-year-old girlfriend at about 9:30 p.m. when he threw an object at her and allegedly placed his arm across her neck.
Police arrested the man at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki hotel on suspicion of abuse of a family member.
