Police are investigating a case of abuse and terroristic threatening where a 16-year-old Kahuku boy allegedly threatened his uncle during an argument at their home in August.

Police said the suspect was arguing with his uncle on Aug. 8 when the youth grabbed a “dangerous instrument” and reportedly threatened his uncle who backed off and went to his room.

The youth turned himself into police on Wednesday and faces possible charges of first-degree terroristic threatening and abuse of a family member. He was released pending investigation.
