Hanabusa outpaces Djou in fundraising for congressional seat
U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa raised more than $143,000 during the past three months for her re-election campaign, outpacing former congressman Charles Djou, who collected more than $81,000.
Hanabusa, D-Hawaii, has brought more than $400,000 to her campaign in urban Honolulu’s 1st Congressional District. Djou, a Republican, has brought more than $243,000.
Djou is deployed with the Army in Afghanistan and has delegated fundraising and campaigning to his wife and allies until he returns.
