Blood DNA implicates Halawa inmate in Christmas Eve burglary
A Pearl City man was arrested Friday in connection with 2010 burglary at a Kalihi residence after DNA test results came in from blood samples allegedly left in the home during the crime.
Police said the man, 30, broke into the home and damaged property during the break-in on Dec. 24.
The suspect, who is already in the Halawa Community Correctional Center on unrelated charges, was booked and charged with first-degree burglary.
