Police responded to a multiple-vehicle crash Tuesday night on H-1 freeway in Kaimuki that seriously injured a driver.

At least three vehicles were involved in the crash about 9:15 p.m. in the Koko Head direction near the King Street offramp, police said.

Callers reported three vehicles were in the crash and one vehicle overturned, police said.

According to emergency dispatch reports, a 48-year-old man was taken to the Queen’s Medical Center in serious condition. He apparently fell asleep at the wheel, the reports said.
