Despite running its win-streak to 19 straight with three road wins last week, the Hawaii women’s volleyball team dropped a spot to No. 8 in today’s AVCA Coaches Top 25.

The Rainbbow Wahine (24-1) received two first-place votes.

UCLA (20-3), which handed Hawaii its only loss, moved up to No. 1. The Bruins won at California and Stanford last weekend.

Nebraska (18-2), which lost to Penn State last week, slipped to No. 2.

Stanford (17-4) moved up from fifth to third, followed by California (18-4), Illinois (21-2), Penn State (17-5) and Cal (21-4).

Hawaii, which does not play again until Nov. 10, has clinched the regular-season Western Athletic Conference title. The Wahine (12-0 WAC) will be the top seed in the WAC tournament next month in Las Vegas.
