City Councilman Tom Berg argues with Secret Service personnel at the Hale Koa Hotel, where a reception was held for dignitaries at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation.

The Honolulu Police Department released today a DVD copy of City Councilman Tom Berg’s belligerent behavior caught on video with Secret Service personnel at an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation reception Nov. 12 at the Hale Koa Hotel.

A bicycle police sergeant caught the action using a police helmet camera.

Berg repeatedly argued with two different Secret Service officials, pointing at an agent who refused to allow him to return to his seat after he left the reception, saying the agent should be fired.

He told the agents, "He said I wasn’t here."

Berg could not provide any credentials that would authorize him to return to the event.

Police said Berg’s eyes were bloodshot, watery and he was intoxicated, with a strong odor of alcohol coming from his mouth and clothes. Berg denies being drunk.
