Koloa fire causes $100,000 damage to dry cleaning business


Fire caused nearly $100,000 damage to a dry cleaning business in Koloa, Kauai firefighters said.

Firefighters responded to the blaze that ignited in the production room of Up to Date Cleaners on Hikina Road at 5:43 p.m. Tuesday. The fire was under control at 6:01 p.m. and extinguished at 6:21 p.m.

No injuries were reported and investigators say the fire is not suspicious. 

An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
