ORANGEVALE, Calif. >> A Sacramento-area medical marijuana dispensary is creating a buzz as it goes out of business — in more ways than one.

The alternative care business is giving each customer a free gram of high-quality pot Friday, and is providing the munchies to handle the aftereffects.

Magnolia Wellness is among dozens of dispensaries that are closing since California’s four U.S. attorneys announced in October that they were cracking down on marijuana cultivation and retail sales. California has allowed medical marijuana for 15 years.

Aside from the free dope, the store is offering about a 15 percent discount on its bulk weed products so customers can stock up for the federally induced drought.

Magnolia Wellness also is providing bagels in the morning and finger food all day.
