A 67-year-old man died in a pedestrian traffic accident in Waipahu early this morning, an Emergency Medical Services supervisor said.
The accident happened at about 4:30 a.m. on Hiapo Street near Kuhaulua Street. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police closed the Hiapo Street bridge between Kuhaulua and Paiwa streets for more than two hours while traffic investigators examined the scene of the accident.
