The Honolulu Medical Examiner identified a 67-year-old pedestrian killed in an early morning traffic accident Sunday as Rogelio Mayo, of Waipahu.

Police said Mayo was struck by a pick-up truck while crossing Hiapo Street near Kuhaulua Street in Waipahu at 4:30 a.m. Sunday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police closed the Hiapo Street bridge between Kuhaulua and Paiwa streets for more than two hours while traffic investigators examined the scene of the accident.
