Police arrest man in Waianae knife attack
A 40-year-old man allegedly slashed a woman with a knife in Waianae Regional Park Wednesday during an argument at about 1:45 p.m., police said.
Witnesses detained the suspect, who has no local address, until patrol officers arrived and arrested him for investigation of second-degree attempted murder, drug and assault, police said.
Police said the victim, who is believed to be related to the suspect, was treated at a hospital and released.
