Kobe Bryant divorce: Vanessa Bryant getting 3 mansions
LOS ANGELES >> The wife of Lakers guard Kobe Bryant will keep their three Newport Coast homes as the couple finalizes divorce plans, public records reviewed Friday show.
Property records on file at the Orange County Clerk-Recorders Office in Santa Ana show that all three mansions, valued at $18.8 million total, were transferred into Vanessa Bryant’s name since their divorce proceedings began in December.
Although the home transfers indicate that the couple have worked out a settlement, the divorce is not yet official, according to records reviewed at the Orange County Superior Court’s family law branch in Orange.
Neither of the attorneys representing the couple was available for comment Friday.
Vanessa Bryant filed a divorce petition in Orange County Superior Court in December, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The couple released a joint statement then saying that they had “resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately.”
The couple did not have a prenuptial agreement, Vanessa Bryant’s mother previously told a Times reporter. If true, she would be entitled to half of their community property.
