University of Hawaii forward Joston Thomas was named the Western Athletic Conference men’s basketball player of the week, the conference office announced today.
Thomas, a junior from Washington D.C., scored a career-high 29 points and added 12 rebounds in an 83-81 overtime victory over San Jose State Saturday.
Thomas made good on 12 of 16 shots from the field and five of nine from the free throw line.
UH plays Nevada Thursday at the Stan Sheriff Center.
