UC Irvine sweeps Hawaii in men’s volleyball
Kevin Tillie and Carson Clark each put down 10 kills to lead No. 2 UC Irvine past No. 12 Hawaii tonight 25-17, 25-19, 25-21 in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation volleyball match at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Steven Hunt led Hawaii (6-7, 3-5) with eight kills but had nine errors in hitting negative .032. Stanley Hinkle had five kills in six swings with no errors in Set 3, the first career kills for the freshman opposite.
It was the fifth straight win over Hawaii for UCI (9-2 5-2).
