UH women’s basketball team ends skid at New Mexico State
Breanna Arbuckle scored 17 points to lead the Hawaii women’s basketball team to a 58-51 win at New Mexico State today, ending the Rainbow Wahine’s four-game Western Athletic Conference losing streak.
With the game tied at 45, the senior forward Arbuckle scored the next two baskets and assisted on another for a five-point lead in the final minutes UH put the game away at the free-throw line.
Sophomore wing Vicky Tagalicod added 13 points for UH.
Fifth-place UH (9-15, 4-5 WAC) swept the season series from the seventh-place NMSU (5-20, 2-8).
UH continues its road trip at Louisiana Tech on Saturday.
