Honolulu police officers were injured early this morning while trying to detain a 31-year-old man who had allegedly assaulted another man in Kakaako.

Officers found the suspect following the alleged 2:35 a.m. assault and arrested him for investigation of second-degree assault on a law enforcement officer, second-degree assault and third-degree assault.

Police listed the victims as all males — ages 40, 35 and 28 — but did not say which of the men were police officers and who was the original victim of the suspect’s alleged assault.
