A 52-year-old woman involved in a two-car collision on School Street  crashed through a chain link fence and ended up on the ewa-bound lanes of the H-1 Freeway Sunday morning.

The woman had no life-threatening injuries but Honolulu firefighters stabilized her for possible neck and back injuries, Honolulu Fire Capt. Rick Karasaki said.

"She avoided a big one," Karasaki said. "She lucked out."

Paramedics were called at 10:04 a.m. and took the woman to an area hospital in stable condition, emergency services officials said.

The driver of the other car involved in the collision on School Street declined treatment, Karasaki said.
