Prisoners of war to be recognized at Punchbowl ceremony
Former prisoners of war will be honored in a ceremony next week at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu.
Monday’s ceremony at Punchbowl is being held as part of National Former Prisoner of War Recognition Day. It will commemorate the sacrifices and dedication of U.S. service members who were prisoners or war or who are listed as missing in action.
The event will honor those from World War II and the Korean War in particular.
