Brush fire closes part of Kawaihae Road on Hawaii island
Hawaii County police have shut down Kawaihae Road, Highway 19, between the 66 and the 67 mile markers tonight due to a brush fire.
Police announced at 9:16 p.m. the roadway would be closed for about an hour. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
