Police looking for man wanted in Waikiki, Kailua robberies

James Walters III

CrimeStoppers is asking for the public’s help in finding James D. Walters III, who is wanted for questioning in connection with robberies in Waikiki and Kailua.

Police said a man approached four visitors walking on Ala Wai Boulevard on April 20, brandished a handgun and demanded their property.

Two days later, a victim saw an unknown man in the victim’s parked vehicle on Onekea Drive in Kailua. When the victim confronted the man, the robber threatened the victim with a handgun and fled.

Police didn’t say what the robber took in both cases.

Police said Walters, 31, is considered armed and dangerous. He is driving a 2006 black Chevy Silverado pickup with silver construction racks and the license plate number "PFV803."

He is 5 feet 11 inches tall, about 180 pounds, with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. He may or may not have a beard.

Anyone with information on Walters’ whereabouts or the robberies is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cell phone. Tips can also be sent by text message by texting "CS808" and your message to 274637 or CRIMES.
