Officers arrest driver of stolen vehicle going the wrong way in Waikiki
A vehicle stopped by police going the wrong way on a Waikiki street late Thursday turned out to be stolen.
Police said a police officer stopped a car heading in the wrong direction fronting 450 Lewers Street about 9:19 p.m. Thursday.
A check of the vehicle found that it was stolen, police said.
Police arrested a man, 37, who listed an address at nearby Kaiolu Street as his home. He is being held pending a charge of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle.
