Sex offender to be sent back to Kauai to face charge

A sex offender wanted on Kauai was arrested Friday morning on Oahu by U.S. marshals.
Brian K. Lopes was arrested at 9:45 a.m. in Waianae and transferred to state Sheriff Division, where he was awaiting transportation back to Kauai.
Police reached out to the U.S. Marshals Service for assistance after receiving a tip that Lopes may have fled to Oahu.
Lopes was the last of 24 noncompliant sex offenders sought by Kauai police.
