Police arrested a 33-year-old Diamond Head man who allegedly threatened his girlfriend with a machete hit her head against a ceramic planter and put her in a chokehold Monday afternoon.
The man and woman, 32, we’re arguing when the argument escalated when he threatened his girlfriend at 2:30 p.m. while brandishing a machete.
Police arrested the man at the couple’s home on Diamond Head Road at 3:20 p.m. On suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and felony abuse of a household member.
The woman received minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
