The Los Angeles Coroner’s Office identified a man stabbed to death near the Beverly Center shopping complex as former Hawaii resident Bobby Khamvongsa, 27.

Police said Khamvongsa’s body was found at 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Orlando Avenue lying in the street with multiple stab wounds.

Paramedics pronounced Khamvongsa dead at the scene.

Police believe Khamvongsa was involved in a dispute with a 29-year-old man of Los Angeles.

Police arrested the man for murder.

Khamvongsa was identified today after coroner’s investigators notified relatives in Hawaii.

Khamvongsa’s Facebook page and an online resume says that he was a freelance makeup artist, who has styled celebrities for television productions in Hawaii and Los Angeles.

He graduated from Hollywood Beauty College in Aiea and Kaimuki High School, according to his resume.
