A magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck the southeastern end of Hawaii Island near Hawaii Volcanoes National Park at about 2:11 a.m. today.
The earthquake was centered about 8 miles west of Pahala at a depth of about 4 miles.
Responses on the U.S. Geological Survey’s “Did you feel it?” website came from as far away as Wailuku on Maui. The earthquake was also felt in Naalehu, Kealakekua, Kailua-Kona, Waikoloa, Holualoa and Captain Cook.
