Haleiwa man charged with gun offenses

A 30-year-old man who turned himself in to police was charged with several offenses he allegedly committed two weeks earlier, police said.

Clifford Kaimi Waiwaiole Jr., of Haleiwa, was charged Thursday morning with first-degree terroristic threatening, reckless endangering, second-degree assault, and two gun offenses. His bail was set at $500,000.

Waiwaiole turned himself in to the Wahiawa police substation at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday for an incident on 5:30 p.m. May 16.

Police did not disclose what Waiwaiole allegedly did.
