Kauai County rescuers airlifted two stranded kayakers from Milolii Beach along the Na Pali Coast Wednesday afternoon.

A person reported two kayakers, a male and female, were having difficulty kayaking into Milolii Beach about 4:50 p.m., according to a county news release. The Louisiana couple reported that they were unable to paddle back and requested assistance.

Rescue 3 personnel the county helicopter flew into the area at 5:20 p.m. and transported the stranded kayakers to Waimea Canyon Park, the news release said.

The couple did not require medical assistance.
