Hawaii County police are investigating the discovery of a body Thursday in a park in West Hawaii.
Firefighters directed officers to a partially decomposed body in an area of heavy vegetation at Higashihara Park in Keauhou Mauka about 5:50 p.m., police said.
Police did not immediately know the age, gender or identity of the body. Any autopsy is pending.
