    Honolulu Zoo's chimpanzee, Ke'aloha, died today.

A chimpanzee who has been a favorite of visitors to the Honolulu Zoo died Friday morning.

Eighteen-year-old Ke`aloha (Kea) died at the Zoo’s veterinary clinic after showing signs of illness.

Kea had been admitted to the clinic Tuesday for a complete examination.

Zoo officials said Kea was lethargic and did not respond to medications.
