Shutterbug neighbor helps police nab alleged Mililani burglar

An alert neighbor provided police with the photographic evidence they needed to track down an alleged burglar in Mililani this week.

Police said a 37-year-old Wahiawa man entered the kitchen of a Mililani home Wednesday about noon and stole a purse.

A neighbor noticed the suspect’s parked car and saw the man going into the home and carrying out objects. The neighbor photographed both the suspect and the license plate of the parked car. Police said they used the photographs to track down the suspect in less than two hours, arresting him on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
