UH regents to discuss Donovan reassignment in closed session
The University of Hawaii Board of Regents is scheduled to discuss the reassignment of former athletic director Jim Donovan at its Aug. 22 meeting, the school announced today.
Donovan’s situation and the return of Rich Sheriff, manager of the Stan Sheriff Center, are listed on the agenda for the meeting at Windward Community College.
They will be in executive session, which, UH said, is closed to the public.
Donovan was reinstated Sunday and assigned to an as-yet-unamed position in the Manoa Chancellor’s office. Sheriff was returned to managing the arena Monday. Both had been placed on paid indefinite administrative leave July 11 pending the completion of an external investigation into the Stevie Wonder concert debacle.
Both were found not to be involved in wrongdoing, according to UH.
